Samuel Wright. Research Technician - part time PhD
After graduating with a BSc in Chemistry from Bangor University in 2014, he took up a research technician position at The BioComposites Centre where he worked mainly as a synthetic organic chemist but also running various analytical instruments. Samuel started working for the Centre for Environmental Biotechnology at the beginning of 2018, where he has been supporting the synthetic biologists with substrate preparation and analysis. He also started a PhD (part time) in 2014 where the focus was to produce a naturally occurring herbicide by biosynthetic and green organic synthetic means, this is currently in the write up stage.
